CANDIDE 1.0 SKIS 2016/2017
From the streets of Estonia to the halfpipe and railyards of Breckenridge, the Candide 1.0 is the hardest working freestyle ski on the mountain. The preferred ski of urban slayer Tim McChesney, the updated Candide 1.0 features a new, smoother camberline and poplar/beech core for better on-snow feel. A carbon reinforcement layer underfoot, micro-cap construction and extra thick 2.5mm edges add to durability when cruising concrete, whilst sandwich construction, a 90mm waist, 3mm of camber and rockered tip and tail make the ski more versatile than ever.
True twin tip shape
Sandwich/ Micro-cap construction- A traditional manufacturing method that provides strength, durability, good grip and edge hold. Sidewalls protect the sides of the sandwich core, and increase a ski's torsional stiffness and therefore edge control and pop. Added micro-cap increases the durability of the topsheet.
Carbon Reinforcement- For grinding rails and stomping kickers, you need a ski that can handle it. These premium freestyle skis have carbon reinforcement built into their structure underfoot, where the load is greatest.
2.5mm edges- This premium park ski has extra thick edges 2.5mm edges, making it our strongest and most durable freestyle ski against rails.
Poplar/ Beech Core- Poplar is a softwood that saves weight and has absorbent qualities that increase the ski's dampness, while beech is a hardwood that provides strength and snap, for a playful, responsive ski.
